Oxygenated Solvents

Oxygenated solvents are solvents whose chemical structure contains carbon atoms, hydrogen atoms and oxygen atoms.

The four main groups of oxygenated solvents are:
Alcohols
Ketones
Esters
Glycol ethers

Oxygenated solvents used industrially tend to have high purity, good solvency power and are wholly or partly miscible with water. Oxygentated solvents constitute around 60%* of the global market and are used in a wide variety of applications.
